Being a Psychic ~ My Life

Psychic ability, like many things, runs in families. Joanna’s great grandmother was a known psychic in Ireland. Joanna’s first memorable experience was at four years old when she was at a family friends house. She remembers sitting in a living room, looking up and seeing a tall man, wearing a business suit. Within seconds, the vision disappeared.

Naturally a four year old does not have a filter, so she began explaining to everyone in the room what she had just seen. “There is a man there,” she recalls telling them. “What did the man look like?” her mothers friend asked. As she began to describe the man in intricate detail, it became apparent that Joanna was describing her mother’s friends deceased father who had died in Germany several years before Joanna’s birth.

Although Joanna grew up in a traditional family, she found herself to not be a very traditional person. Her fascination with Astrology and the spirit world became a passion. As she was growing up, her hobbies included extensively researching Astrology, writing, and paying attention to her dreams. She began to realize that many of her dreams would indeed come to fruition, days, weeks or even years later.

Although her parents were quite open to her passions and gifts, they did instill the importance of traditional education in her life. Joanna received a B.A. in Mass Communications from the University of South Florida in 2000, she also became a Florida state certified teacher. She is extremely grateful that her parents created an environment in which her creativity and visions were promoted, but with a dose of practicality and stability, which is exactly what her traditional education gave her.

After college she was hired at an Advertising agency, not because of her business savvy, or organizational skills, but rather because of a creative piece she wrote and turned into the hiring manager. Although grateful for the opportunity, she soon found that the field of Advertising was not as flexible or creative as she had imagined, so she went on to become a teacher. Although teaching is a tremendous amount of work, there are several breaks throughout the year and of course the whole summer. This gave her an opportunity to research her passions, including Astrology and it gave her the freedom and flexibility that she desired, while still allowing her to pay her rent.

In time, she began to work passionately on astrological charts. She had spent several years researching Astrology in its entirety and would take notes as she analyzed people’s charts. In time people began to notice that the things she wrote down for them were happening or had happened earlier in their lives. It was then that she realized she was able to predict the future.

In short, she developed a following, a rather large following. She continued to teach full time, while doing readings at night and on weekends. She started to receive countless messages about her predictions coming true. It was during that time that she realized her souls’ purpose.

Her desire for freedom and creativity inspired her to create her own deck of Oracle cards, which she currently sells through her website. Her parents had instilled in her a strong sense of goal setting, and even to this day, she is constantly setting and completing new goals for herself.

In 2019, after many years of hard work, working seven days a week, praying and manifesting, she was flown out to San Diego to be on television and do a live show at a casino. Her B.A. in Mass Communications came in handy at this point, as she had done internships in radio while in College. She has been a guest on both radio and television.

On a personal note she is inspired by nature, music and a great love of animals. Over the span of her career as a psychic, medium and astrologer she has met thousands of people from all over the world. Every single person has brought something of value to her life and her craft, and for this she is also incredibly grateful.
